*Video* Pentucket Nurses Share COVID-19 Guidance for the Holidays
WEST NEWBURY — Superintendent Justin Bartholomew is pleased to share that Pentucket Regional School District’s nurses have come together to create a video sharing health and safety guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 this holiday season.

“With the holidays coming up, it’s absolutely essential that our entire Pentucket community continues to closely follow all public health guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” Superintendent Bartholomew said. “It’s our hope this video can serve as a helpful reminder of the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ for celebrating the holidays this year. Our students, families and staff have worked hard to stay healthy and safe, and we all need to keep up the good work.”
The video features the school nurse from every school in the district, including: Pentucket High School nurse Kim Therrien, Pentucket Middle School nurse Monique Landry, Sweetsir Elementary School nurse Ann Brady-Lozier, Bagnall Elementary School nurse Amanda Durand, Page Elementary School nurse Courtney Boudrow and Donaghue Elementary School nurse Anne Rundle.
Tips shared in the video include:
- Limit indoor gatherings to 10 people
- Stick with the people you live with our see on a regular basis
- If you’re around people you don’t live with keep your mask on while eating and drinking
- Watch your distance, especially if you’re inside
- Wave hello and goodbye instead of hugs and kisses
- Remember to wash your hands with soap and water frequently
- Don’t share food or utensils during meals
- If you go to a party or leave the state, the safest thing to do is get tested or quarantine for two weeks to make sure you don’t have COVID-19
- If you feel sick, the most important thing you can do is stay home
On Nov. 2, Gov. Charlie Baker updated the state’s gathering size limit to 10 people for indoor gatherings at private residences and 25 for outdoor gatherings at private residences. All gatherings must end by 9:30 p.m.
Those who host gatherings are also required by the order to report known positive cases of COVID-19 to their local health department and participate in contact tracing.
Local health and police departments are authorized under the order to fine organizers of gatherings $500 per person above the gatherings limit. To read the Nov. 2 order, click here.
